The Challenge: Reclaiming Petrified Urea Agglomerates
A fertilizer production plant faced a major challenge with urea “pills” (prills) that had compressed into petrified, uniform blocks up to 400x150x150mm. To reclaim this material for the production line, the client required a heavy-duty crusher capable of breaking these hard lumps back into their original 3mm prilled form.

The Solution: Reinforced Rotary Lump Breaker with Integrated Screen
We engineered a high-torque Stainless Steel Lump Breaker designed specifically for high-resistance materials.
  • Heavy-Duty Cutting Mechanism: The main body features 8mm thick radial rotating blades with an angular cross-section, working against stationary fixed knives to shear through the petrified urea.
  • Precision Size Control: To ensure the output matched the original grain size, we installed a semi-cylindrical 5mm mesh screen. Only material reduced to the correct size can pass through, ensuring consistent quality.
  • High-Torque Drive: The unit is powered by a 3.0 kW motor geared to 36 rpm, providing the necessary crushing force while preventing stalls during the processing of large blocks.

The Result: Efficient Material Reclamation
By integrating this rotary de-lumper, the factory successfully returned waste “lumps” to usable 3mm prills. The reinforced stainless steel construction ensures long-term durability against the mildly corrosive nature of urea.
