High-Capacity Vertical Screw Elevator for Pigment Earth Powder

High-Capacity Vertical Screw Elevator for Pigment Earth Powder

.
The Challenge: Rapid Vertical Lift for Building Material Production
A building materials factory required a robust solution to transport dense pigment earth powder from a ground-level intake hopper to a mixer located 6.5 metres above. The system needed to provide a high vertical lift within a compact footprint while maintaining a steady, high-volume flow to meet demanding production schedules.
.
The Solution: High-Speed Φ220mm Vertical Auger
We engineered a specialized Vertical Screw Conveyor designed specifically for the elevation of industrial powders:
  • High-Volume Throughput: By utilizing a precision-engineered Φ220mm auger rotating at 200 rpm, we achieved a consistent performance of over 8 tonnes per hour.
  • Space-Efficient Design: Unlike inclined conveyors or bucket elevators, the vertical screw lift occupies minimal floor space, making it ideal for integration into existing factory layouts where horizontal room is limited.
  • Dust-Tight Elevation: The fully enclosed tubular housing ensures that fine pigment powders are transported without dust emission, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
.
The Result: Automated Mixer Feeding at 8 t/h
The vertical elevator successfully bridged the 6.5m gap between the ground hopper and the mixer. By automating this vertical lift, the plant eliminated manual material handling and achieved a continuous feed rate that significantly improved the overall mixing cycle efficiency.
