The Challenge: Maintaining Precise Recipe Ratios in Continuous Mixing
A fertilizer production facility required a high-accuracy, multi-component dosing solution to feed their continuous mixing line. The challenge was to synchronize the discharge from four independent storage silos, each containing different chemical raw materials. To ensure the final nutrient analysis met strict agricultural standards, the system needed to provide “pulse-free,” repeatable dosing that could be adjusted in real-time based on the production recipe.

The Solution: Quad-Line VFD-Controlled Stainless Steel Dosing Augers
We engineered a centralized Automatic Dosing System featuring four independent feed lines:
  • Corrosion-Resistant INOX 316 Construction: Because fertilizers are chemically aggressive, all contact parts—including the screw flights and tubes—were manufactured from INOX 316 stainless steel. This ensures maximum longevity and prevents material contamination from oxidation.
  • VFD-Driven Flow Control: Each of the four dosing screw conveyors is driven by an independent Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). This allow the plant’s control system to modulate the rotational speed of each auger with surgical precision, achieving the exact “grams-per-second” required for the specific fertilizer recipe.
  • Continuous Mixing Integration: The four streams are metered simultaneously into a continuous mixer, ensuring a perfectly homogeneous output without the downtime associated with traditional batch processing.
