Screw press for expired packages
For the recycling industry, we manufactured a screw press to break and compress expired packages of tomato juice, yogurt, etc. The aim was to separate the liquid viscous product from the TetraPak paper. The paper had to be compressed and drained so that when it was sent to the landfill it would not be wet, heavy and, bulky.
This press consists of a progressive screw with a perforated housing. An inlet hopper was constructed at the upper part, while an existing liquid tank was used at the outlet.
