The Challenge: Versatile Size Reduction for Municipal Waste & RDF Feedstock
Municipal Waste Collection Facility required a robust, all-in-one solution to process a diverse stream of recyclables. The challenge involved “down-sizing” a mixture of lightweight multi-layer Tetra Pak cartons alongside heavy, rigid materials such as pallet scrap, logs, and timber. To meet downstream recycling or RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) specifications, all materials needed to be reduced to a uniform, high-calorific fraction of less than 20mm in a single pass.

The Solution: High-Torque Single-Shaft RDF Drum Crusher
We engineered a heavy-duty Rotating Grinder Granulator designed for maximum versatility in harsh waste environments:
  • Universal Cutting Geometry: The internal drum features a high-torque rotor equipped with reinforced cutting teeth. This design allows the machine to effortlessly transition between “shredding” soft paper-based packaging and “chipping” dense wood waste to create a consistent RDF feedstock.
  • Precision 20mm Sizing Grid: To ensure the output meets strict industry standards for Refuse Derived Fuel or recycled pulp, we integrated a 20mm semi-cylindrical screen. Material is retained in the crushing chamber until it is fully granulated to the target size.
  • Municipal-Grade Durability: Built to withstand the continuous feed of a Local Authority Recycling Centre, the granulator features an oversized intake hopper and high-impact internal components.
