Production unit for brake pads

For a factory that produces brake pads we supplied a central dust extraction system in a pipework with 19 suction stations. Each position had its own adjusting valve, so that everywhere we have the same suction speed. The piping system ended in a cyclone with a rotating air barrier to receive the heavier particles and an industrial cartridge filter with a filtration surface of 80 m2 to collect the dust – powder and then in a centrifugal fan. Both products collected are used as raw materials in the mixing of the main product in different proportions, depending on the recipe.

This system replaced an older dust extraction system that was not performing properly. With the new unit, the amount of dust collected was doubled.
