The Challenge: Synchronizing Multi-Material Feed for Twin Batch Mixers
A plastic production facility required a high-precision system to handle the simultaneous mixing of three distinct raw material pellets (Yellow, Blue, and Brown). The primary challenge was preventing cross-contamination while ensuring a consistent, synchronized volumetric feed into two adjacent batch mixers to maintain high-speed production cycles.

The Solution: Bespoke Multi-Stream Volumetric Feeding System
Our team engineered a visually intuitive and mechanically robust solution using a color-coded material management strategy.
  • Triple-Stream Hopper Array: We manufactured three heavy-duty mild-steel hoppers, each finished in a specific color (Yellow, Blue, and Brown) to match the raw material pellets, drastically reducing operator error.
  • Dedicated Vertical Screw Conveyors: Each hopper feeds into two dedicated vertical screw conveyors (six in total). These conveyors are also color-coordinated, ensuring that each of the two batch mixers, that we supplied, receives the exact ratio of all three materials simultaneously.
  • Optimized Batch Blending: The system allows for high-precision volumetric feeding, ensuring the final polymer blend is consistent across both mixing lines.

The Result: Zero-Error Material Handling & Increased Throughput
By implementing this color-coordinated feeding system, the plant eliminated material “mix-ups” and streamlined the transition between batches. The synchronized vertical screw conveyors ensured that both mixers operate at 100% capacity, significantly improving the plant’s overall operational efficiency.
