The Challenge: Managing Highly Volatile and Ultra-Fine Toner Particulates
A toner parts manufacturing plant required a specialized Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) solution to capture ultra-fine particulates across six critical workstations. Toner dust is not only microscopic but also highly prone to static buildup, creating a significant risk of filter “blinding” and potential combustible dust hazards. The system needed to provide a massive filtration area to maintain low “Air-to-Cloth” ratios and ensure consistent suction power.

The Solution: High-Capacity Central Filtration with Antistatic Pleated Cartridges
We engineered a centralized Cartridge Dust Collector designed for superior particulate capture and operator safety:
  • High-Surface-Area Filtration: The system features 16 antistatic polyester pleated cartridges (D325 x 600 mm). Each cartridge provides 10 m² of media, resulting in a total filtration surface of 160 m². This expanded area reduces the velocity of air through the media, significantly extending filter life.
  • Antistatic Safety Media: To mitigate the ignition risks associated with toner dust, we utilized antistatic polyester media. This specialized coating prevents static charge accumulation, ensuring the dust releases easily during the pulse-cleaning cycle.
  • Redundant High-Volume Airflow: The system is powered by two integrated 5.5 kW fans, providing the robust suction needed to maintain HSE-compliant transport velocities across all six suction points.
