The Challenge: Managing Oversize 1.5-Tonne Bulk Bags in a High-Volume Brewery
A world-renowned global brewery required a high-capacity solution to discharge crystalline sugar for their large-scale fermentation process. The project presented a significant structural challenge: the sugar arrives in oversize 2m³ Bulk Bags, each weighing approximately 1.5 tonnes. To allow for safe forklift clearance and bag positioning, the client required an exceptionally long cantilevered I-beam for the electric hoist, which created complex static load requirements for the support frame.

- Structurally Reinforced Cantilever Frame: To support the 1.5-tonne bags on an extended I-beam, we designed a specialized rear-base extension. This counter-leverage structure ensures total stability and HSE-compliant lifting safety during the bag-loading cycle.
- Oversize Bag Compatibility: The station’s geometry was custom-scaled to accommodate the larger-than-normal 2m³ FIBCs, ensuring the bags seat perfectly against the dust-seal for a clean discharge.
- High-Capacity Sugar Transfer: At the station’s outlet, we integrated a high-performance inclined screw conveyor (Φ 200 x 6000mm). This SS304 stainless steel auger is capable of delivering 8 tonnes per hour of sugar directly into the brewery’s mixing vessels.
