Size-reducing crushers

CRUSHERS / GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The crushers are used for the destruction of products and their recycling, but also for the down-sizing of their particle size, i.e. the breaking of agglomerates. In a mechanical cutting process with one or two rotating shafts, they downsize the product to the size of the free opening of their knives. There are different categories of crushers or lump breakers.

DOWN-SIZING CRUSHERS / CATEGORIES / TYPES

TWIN SHAFT SHREDDER (DESTROYER).

Shredder

Shredder

The Shredder or Chipper is used to destroy products in very small sizes. It consists of two rotating shafts, which have a series of knife blades and one superimposes the other. The double-shaft Shredder shreds wood, logs, toilet or kitchen paper rolls, fabrics, clothes, carpets, and medical waste. The shredded product comes out in small sizes of 3 – 4 cm, which can then be further processed.

Twin-shaft shredder

This crusher is used to downsize aglomerates in bulk solid products. It consists of two rotating shafts, which have a series of knife-scissors and one enters the other. At its outlet, there is no metal mesh (grid). The crusher in the photo breaks urea to a particle size below 4.0 mm.

HAMMER MILL.

Hammer mill

Hammer mill

This hammer mill is used to downsize bulk solid products. It consists of a high-speed rotating shaft, which has disks with an array of hammers – blades. At its outlet, there is a metal mesh (grill), which defines the grain size of the final (broken) product. The hammer mill in the photo breaks cotton seeds down to a particle size of less than 3.0 mm.

OLIVE HAMMER MILL.

Olive crusher

Olive crusher

The olive fruit hammer mill breaks olives and pulps them in a grain size proportional to the distance of the screws to the knives (under 2.0 mm) and proportional to the outlet grid that follows. The olive hammer mill in the photo is rotating at high speed and corresponds to a laboratory size for working with a spectrograph.

ROLLING MILL.

Roller mill

Roller mills are used to break flour – flour mill – or rice – rice mill – into powder, flour, etc. Roller mills are applied to many products, such as salt, animal feed, etc. The roller mill consists of two shafts, which have a roller (cylinder). The distance between them is variable and defines the grain size of the final (broken) product.

NIBBLER DEAGGLOMERATOR.

Nibbler Crusher

Nibbler Crusher

This crusher is used to break aggregates in bulk products. It consists of a slow rotating shaft, which has 3 blades parallel to the shaft and is surrounded by a cylindrical metal grid (grill), which defines the grain size of the final (broken) product.
