Dosing, Weighing and Mixing of Dry Mortars

DOSING, WEIGHING AND MIXING UNIT

In factories producing ready-made mortars, tile adhesives, plasters, grouts, etc., there is a central batch mixer, where it is fed discontinuously. The typical recipe includes calcium carbonate (CaCO3), quicklime, cement and some additional chemicals (eg methylcellulose) in small amounts.

The raw materials come in silo trucks,  in bulk, or in Big-Bags.

As can be seen in the photos, the raw materials are conveyed from the Bulk-Bag-Unloaders with screw conveyors dosed into a weighing hopper. The products enter the weighing hopper one after the other and not at the same time. After the weighing is completed, the products enter the mixer. The final mixed product is packed right underneath the mixer to avoid sagregation.

With a central PLC system, recipes are easily monitored and quantities produced are recorded.
