Continuous mixers
In continuous mixers (or continuous flow mixers) the constant (and infallible) feed with the recipe is the first reason, since continuous production hardly notices an error in time.
The residence time in the mixer is much shorter.
Even an auger could mix materials with the same principle of operation.
Here there are much higher yields and usually the accuracy of the recipe takes a back seat.
