Storage Silo
Silos of all sizes, e.g. 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 m³ etc., in St 37.2 (black painted steel) or INOX 304, INOX 316 (stainless steel) or aluminium.
Depending on the product, the material and also the geometry of the silo are selected.
Important factors are the specific gravity, slope and behavior of the product in moisture, how well it flows, whether it is abrasive or brittle, etc.

Silo Flexible
FLEXIBLE SILO FROM TREVIRA
| In cases of very hygroscopic products, which flow with difficulty (eg salt, sugar, fertilizers, detergents), flexible silos are a reliable solution.
They are watertight and do not allow temperature changes to create moisture inside them. |
FLEXIBLE SILO (BREATHABLE) MADE OF POLYESTER
They are intended for light products (eg expanded polystyrene).
They are very economical. For indoor use only.

TANKS / CONTAINERS / GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Depending on whether the raw materials are in solid or liquid form, they are stored apart from silos in tanks and containers. There are many applications and many categories of stainless steel tanks and stainless steel containers.

Metal hoppers
METAL HINS – CONTAINERS – HOPPERS.
In industry, stainless steel or black steel containers are generally needed, on a fixed or rolling base. It is important to ensure the good flow of the material with the construction of the funnel.
CONTAINERS FOR PHARMACEUTICAL USE. In cases where we want to transport a semi-finished product or quantities smaller than 1m3, wheeled containers or hoppers are used that can be lifted with a crane. In the pharmaceutical industry it is customary to load the raw materials (powders, active substances) into small bins and then place them on top of the tableting machines. These stainless steel funnels have butterfly notches at the bottom.

Tanks
non-stirring liquid tanks with ribbed bottoms are used to store liquid products. There is the possibility of heating the tank with a jacket mantle or with a half-pipe perimeter network or with an internal coil.
TANKS WITHOUT AGITATION. Stainless steel
AGITATED TANKS / REAGENTS. Stainless steel stirrer liquid tanks with smooth bottoms are used for mixing water with powders or as chemical reactors for liquid products. There is the possibility of heating the tank with a jacket mantle or with a half-pipe perimeter network. The vertical shaft has stirring vanes and rotates at slow speeds. In the body of the agitation tank there are fixed anti-eddy blades, which create a uniform agitation.

| They are necessary for the proper monitoring and automation of production. There are min. level sensors. – max. of many types such as single contact, rotating propeller, vibrating fork, audible signal, visual signal, etc. There are also analog sensors for a continuous signal (e.g. piezoelectric wire rope throughout the depth of the silo) |

Vibrating cones
At the exit of the silo, metal cones with one or two vibrators are placed to facilitate the emptying of the silo for difficult-to-flow products. A flexible cuff is placed before and after the vibrating cone.

Rotary valves
ROTARY VALVES
Rotating air dams consist of the body and the rotating shaft, which usually has 6 – 8 pockets. They find application in positions under silos. In combination with a speed regulator (inverter) they can also do dosing.

Unloading bellows
DISCHARGE BLOWERS
For filling open trucks or for creating piles on the ground, bellows with a cross-section of Φ 300 or Φ 400 mm are used, which depending on the type, include suction, automatically rise up following the level of the pile, etc. .
