The Challenge: Continuous Removal of High-Speed Aluminium Offcuts
world-class aluminium coil production plant required a high-reliability solution to manage continuous “edge-trim” strips generated during the slitting process. These aluminium offcuts, resembling thin metallic tape, are produced at high speeds and can quickly entangle or cause production line stoppages if not removed instantly. The system needed to provide constant suction across two independent cutting lines and transport the scrap over a significant distance back to the melting furnace for recycling.

The Solution: 22kW Venturi-Assisted Pneumatic Scrap Conveyor
We engineered a high-performance Pneumatic Extraction System designed for the non-stop demands of heavy metallurgy:
  • High-Pressure 22kW Blower: At the heart of the system is a powerful 22.0 kW high-pressure blower, providing the massive motive force required to maintain high transport velocities for the metallic strips.
  • Dual-Line Venturi Suction: We integrated two precision-engineered Venturi suction fans (Eductors). The Venturi effect allows the aluminium strips to be drawn into the air stream without passing through the fan blades, preventing mechanical damage to the blower and ensuring a “clog-free” transport path.
  • Continuous Scrap Recycling: The system creates a seamless link between the cutting line and the recycling mill, automatically conveying the edge-trim to the furnace for immediate re-melting, supporting the plant’s circular economy and waste reduction goals.
