Bespoke trough auger for ammonium nitrate
For a water soluble fertilizer manufacturer we produced a bespoke screw conveyor to fit to a specific 1000lt mixer outlet. Fertilizer products, like ammonium nitrate have a tendency to petrify and agglomerate. The auger had to have a large cross-section and the trough inlet had to be more open at the top, so that the mixer was completely emptied. 50 rpm was chosen, since the semi-automatic packaging machine that followed was not capable of a higher output than 8 ton/h.
