Big Bag Unloader with Lump Breaker
For a fertilizer production plant, we manufactured a stainless steel hammer mill with an output of 1500 kg/h. The hammer mill is initially fed with sacks, where the operator arranges on the spot how much the hammer mill can accept.
In a second phase we were asked to increase the output of the hammer mill, but also to improve the manual feeding. We manufactured a Big Bag Unloader with Lump Breaker and a screw conveyor for the hammer mill.
As can be seen in the video, the slow-rotating screw conveyor spectacularly improved the throughput of the high-speed hammer mill. The output of the system (with the same hammer mill) was doubled, exceeding 3400 kg/h, while the operator manpower was no longer necessary.
