An animal feed production facility required a streamlined, high-capacity solution to blend two distinct soy-based products at a rate of 12 tonnes per hour. Traditional batch mixing was considered too slow and costly for this high-throughput application. The goal was to achieve a perfectly homogeneous blend continuously, ensuring that nutritional additives were evenly distributed without the energy overhead of a batch-tank system.

The Solution: Synchronised Dual-Screw Dosing & Continuous Mixing
We engineered a specialized Continuous Mixing Unit that combines precision dosing with high-intensity blending:

- Integrated Dosing Augers: Two independent dosing screw conveyors are used to meter the yellow and brown soy components. These augers are synchronized to enter the mixing chamber at the same time, ensuring the correct ratio is maintained from the start of the process.
- U-Trough Continuous Blender: The core of the system is a horizontal U-Trough mixer. Unlike batch mixers, this unit processes material in a steady stream. The internal agitator is designed to create a high-energy “fluidized” zone, forcing the two different soy products to interfold rapidly.
- Visual Proof of Homogeneity: During factory acceptance tests (FAT), the efficiency of the mix was strikingly evident. As shown in our project photos, the distinct yellow and brown raw materials were transformed into a single, perfectly uniform homogeneous feed blend in seconds.

The Result: Superior 12 t/h Throughput at Lower Operational Cost
The continuous system allowed the plant to achieve a massive 12 tonne per hour output with significantly lower energy consumption than a comparable batch setup. By eliminating the fill-and-empty cycles of traditional mixers, the facility maximized its “up-time” and achieved a perfectly consistent animal feed product at a highly competitive capital investment cost.
