The Challenge: Consistent Small-Batch Grinding for Quality Analysis
Olive oil producers and food laboratories require high-precision, small-scale grinding to test olive varieties and refine paste consistency. Standard industrial mills are too large for these 50–100 kg/h tasks. The challenge was to create a compact, “lab-sized” mill that offers the same durability as industrial units but with the ability to “fine-tune” the output for sensitive sampling.

The Solution: Adjustable-Clearance Laboratory Impact Mill
We engineered a versatile Laboratory Hammer Mill available in both 304/316 Stainless Steel (for food-grade sampling) and reinforced Mild Steel:
  • Micrometer-Precision Tuning: A key feature of this mill is the adjustable screw system on the fixed blades. This allows technicians to fine-tune the clearance between rotating and stationary knives, providing total control over the olive paste texture.
  • Direct-Drive Efficiency: The 1.1 kW motor is directly coupled to the shaft, running at 1,500 rpm. This direct connection maximizes torque and eliminates the maintenance associated with drive belts.
  • Calibrated Sizing: The outlet features a semi-cylindrical grate, ensuring that only the correctly processed material leaves the chamber, perfect for repeatable laboratory results.
