Screw conveyor for copper particles
For a large copper products manufacturing company we manufactured a screw conveyor to elevate the copper particles. The copper particles are quite heavy and have a specific weight of 2.8 kg/lt. Due to their shape they flow very well, but they also have a tendency to fall backwards. A high rotational speed screw conveyor is obviously needed. The flights of the spiral had to be extra thick due to the wear created by metal-on-metal friction.
